The Jane Winstone Collection Exhibition: 9 Feb 2026 – 30 Mar 2026
Jane Winstone (1914-1944) became NZ’s youngest woman solo pilot aged 17 and flew the very first flight from Whanganui Airport. During WWII, she served as a ferry pilot with the Air Transport Auxiliary, delivering aircraft to bases around the UK.
This exhibition features photos, letters, flying logbooks and more from the Jane Winstone Collection, as well as a display of model aircraft of the types flown by Jane Winstone herself.
